The Church of St Blaise in Vodnjan, Croatia, contains mummies of the saints Vodnjan. The most significant being; St Leon Bembo, St Ivan John Olini and St Nikoloza Bursa who were all almost completely intact and fully clothed. Several mummified body parts of other saints were found as well. The mummies are now kept in the church in exposed in glass coffins. These bodies were not deliberately preserved with any chemicals or embalmed and therefore it is unknown how they were mummified. A CT scan in 2009 revealed that the bodies of St Bursa and St Olini have all of their internal organs.
