St. Zita was born into a poor Christian family. At the age of 12 she went to work as a servent and was evetually promoted to head house keeper. She would often get caught stealing bread to give food to the poor, she was a spiritual woman known for her work ethics.
St. Zita's body was exhumed in 1580, 300 years after her death. It was discovered to have naturally mummified. She was canonized in 1696.
Studies conclulded that she died because of a lung problem.
St. Zita's Feast day is on April 27th.
