The mummy of a 6 month old baby was found on the Western shore of Greenland in a place called Qilakitsoq in 1972. The 6 month old baby was buried along side its mother as well as many other mummies, there were 8 mummies in total. Modern medical testing revealed that the boy had many features that may be linked to having Down Syndrome, which could be why he passed away at such a young age. Modern day medical testing also revealed that the boy had similar genes to all the other mummies he was buried next to. The baby could have possibly been placed in the grave alive as that was customary in this Eskimo Culture.
