Biography
Francys Arsentiev was the first American climber to make it to the top of Mount Everest without the need of oxygen assistance. She died on her decent from the top of the mountain from lack of oxygen. She was found two days later by another group of climbers. The climbers attempted to carry her down but failed. Her husband attempted to rescue her as well but went missing in the process.
She has remained at her burial site where she was mummified.
