Iry-Hor was a predynastic pharaoh of Upper Egypt, though the exact date of his birth and death are unknown his existence was verified through an excavation done in Abydos in 1980s-1990s. He was likely to have been known to be Ka's predecessor and should have ruled around the 32nd century BC. Though there is limited information on this, it was likely that Iry-Hor had control on the Nile Delta. Iry-Hor is one of the oldest pharaohs in Egypt that is only known through his name, and has little information about him in the world.
Mummification[]
The pharaoh was buried in chambers B1 and B2 in the oldest tombs in Abydos in Umm el-Qa'ab. Iry-Hor was mummified through taking the organs individually and preserving them outside of his dead body, then wrapped in linen and buried in chamber B2, with his other organs.
